Do you need Secure Communications?

Consider the following :-

Many companies today are in danger from economic espionage, with  billions of dollars a year at risk. 

Whilst the GSM cellular communications system is excellent, it does have one weakness – calls can be intercepted, listened in to or recorded.

Standard mobile phones are unsuitable for the exchange of confidential or sensitive information as end-to-end security is not provided and neither can one authenticate  the individual contacted.    Interception of your mobile telephone calls are a real danger.

 Mobile phones can be intercepted  by  using a normal PC with low cost devices that are easily obtainable.    The signal sent between the mobile phone and the network base  station is weakly encrypted and can be decrypted using software that simulates a net station and which is inserted between the mobile phone and the provider’s network.    With a simple command, it turns off the encryption.
